Melinda recently lamented the unphotogenicness of her eating.
"Pah!" I say. "Fie. That Melinda has a way to go to reach the true hideousness of broccoli ripassati that's been defrosted after a couple of weeks in the freezer.
Tastes alright though. Phew.
Operation plan-the-meals seems to be working well enough so far, although I'm hopeless at getting things to actually defrost. Apparently 24 hours in the fridge isn't enough, even though I'm *sure* that used to work in the past. Ach well.
PS And being back in the office? I thought I'd be a nervous wreck, but actually it's good to be back. This week I've been mostly clearing the decks and getting to grips with my new domain. There've been restructures since I was last there, and I've sort of gained my own personal book fiefdom. And that's rather fun.
Hooray for not as bad as expected office life! Though boo for defrosting issues. Is your fridge turned super high?
ReplyDeleteRipassati is too delicious to be hideous. I just ate grated root veg curry inna bun, and that wins... may post, eventually.
That sounds delish! Do post. Did it have chutney or something else with the curry in the bun? Also, which veg, because this sounds like an eminently freezable possibility.
DeleteApparently our fridge is colder than I thought. Things aren't actually freezing in it, at least.
Tin of tomatoes, potato, carrot, onion. Entirely freezable. I think it may be more fun second day, so quite a solid winter option. And the bun bit is brilliant. But incredibly ugly.
