Yes! We have made it so far through the pandemic that events cancelled last year have started to make their revised, scaled-down 2021 versions live. And tonight, it's Eurovision!
Do I like Eurovision? Not really! Have I watched almost all of them due to sharing it with friends and/or family? Absolutely! Is there any reason to miss out in 2021 just because I'm on my own at home with the freedom of the sofa/remote control and 14 months of learning to fit life (within limits) to my precise own requirements? Certainly not!
Confined Cocktails tonight is therefore a general free for all, whenever you like to start, as long as you can stand watching Eurovision into the night. Eurococktails are de rigueur. Kate has promised we haven't seen anything yet
I may be a tad late starting the tweetage as (ironically) I'm at a Home Cooking event with the British Library which runs till 6.45, timing which suits no known home cook in the world. I will be cooking meatballs as much as I'm drinking cocktails by 7pm, I suspect, but I can do that one handed while tweeting, surely? Also, the meatball sauce is made from remarkably cheap prosecco, which feels extremely Eurovision, and I will have leftovers powering my cocktails when I get to them. So apologies if I'm a bit in and out to begin with, but please keep the cocktails coming.
If you think I haven't spent the last few days scouring Diffords Guide for Eurotastic options, you don't know me. This pic is last night's joy, a Nutty Russian. I suspect today I'll be on a Hugo tbh, or a French 75. But we'll see.
We can do jollification, yes? I'm going to the office next week. Things are moving, out there in the real world. But there's still time for sofa cocktail joy. And Eurocrisps, obvs.
Those are the poshest crisps I've ever seen. I approve.
ReplyDeleteElaboradas esclusivamente, Katie. Not just any old elaboration.
DeleteI also love the English bit "Hand cooked extra virgin potato chips". Truly pure potatoes.
