Pizza!

Yesterday I was very propositive despite the lockdown. It was the first day of spring, I had a tea time party with my friends via chat and a cocktail hour with you, and I felt "up".
I decided that Sunday would be dedicated to do cleaning-up, to do cambio degli armadi (what's the English for it?), to finish the novel has been on my night table for … ages (“Berta Isla” by Javier Marias: wonderful!).

In that euphoric mood I also made my pizza dough.

I won't give you a recipe  cause most famous chefs give you a better one on web and cause sometimes dough works and sometimes not (spoiler: it doesn’t work this time! 😞😞😞).

A lot of good intentions smashed against Sunday laziness.
And against "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel": so nice.

But the dough was ready, so this evening I’ve made my pizza Margherita.
I miss so much pizza at pizzeria. Pizza at pizzeria and pizza at home are different and I prefer the first one. I miss pizza and I miss “shall we have a pizza tonight?”. Having pizza is more than eating, it’s a way of life, it’s staying with friends and family, it’s “we don’t want to cook tonight: go outside and spend time in talking, drinking and laughing together”.

Tonight I share my pizza with you with talks and laughs.

Happy night!

  1. Buona notte to you too. Oh, I want pizza now. Pizza at a pizzeria, with other people. Yes. That would be perfect. I'm glad Saturday was a really good day too!

(I don't think we have a proper phrase for cambio degli armadi - just getting the winter/summer clothes out. Though we're not doing it yet in the UK. We have a saying about not doing this till the end of May :D https://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/till-may-is-out.html)

    1. Also, in the UK, you can’t really put winter clothes away because you might need them, even in August. I’m going to try and dream about eating pizza in a pizzeria tonight.
